Two teenagers have been arrested for possessing an air rifle in Stockport this afternoon.
Police swooped in to detain the men, both aged 19, around the King’s Tap pub in Cheadle Hulme.
The drama unfolded shortly before 3pm today, but no one was injured in the incident.

Now, a spokesperson for the force has confirmed that two people have been arrested.
“At around 2.55pm this afternoon (9 March 2022) police were called with a report that a man was in possession of a possible firearm on Station Road, Cheadle Hulme,” a statement said.
“Officers attended and two men aged 19 were detained and arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm which is believed to be an air rifle. “Enquiries are ongoing. No one was injured in the incident.”
Video footage from the scene shows a large police presence in attendance.
Eyewitnesses spotted ‘five cars’ from Greater Manchester Police, plus an armed unit and unmarked vehicles in attendance, the Manchester Evening News understands.
