At around 8.50am on December 14th an off-duty police officer reported that they were following a white Kia driving erratically in the Dalefords Lane area. The car was travelling at around 10mph and repeatedly hitting the kerb.

In a statement Cheshire Constabulary said: "Giurgea smelt strongly of alcohol and was arrested at the scene after failing a breath test. When tested at custody she gave a reading of 123 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath, more than three times the legal limit."
Inspector Jason Murray said: “Giurgea was more than three times over the limit and was in no fit state to be behind the wheel, let alone drive a child to school. Thankfully, as a result of the off-duty officer who reported her driving, we were able to arrest her and quickly bring her to justice – thanks to them it is highly possible that a serious collision was avoided.
