The next instalment in the “Alien” franchise is set to take off.

Funeral For A Friend will embark on a tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation’ later this year.The album, which Funeral For A Friend will play in full, features singles such as ‘Juneau’, ‘She Drove Me To Daytime Television’ and ‘Rookie Of The Year’ and launched the Welsh rockers to popularity back in 2003.The band previously played ‘Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation’ in full on their ‘Last Chance To Dance’ farewell tour in 2016. It also made up a large part of the setlist of their reunion tour last year, alongside material from 2005’s ‘Hours’ and 2007’s ‘Tales Don’t Tell Themselves’.“It feels pretty surreal to be celebrating 20 years of ‘Casually Dressed…’ already, but we’re looking forward to diving back into the record that changed everything for us, and to performing it front to back across the U.K.

Billy Bragg has announced a new box set to mark his four decades in music, ‘The Roaring Forty’ – find all the details below.The singer-songwriter and left-wing activist is due to release the career-spanning collection on October 27. The Southbank Centre in London has announced a celebration of the 50th anniversary of David Bowie’s ‘Aladdin Sane’ album, with talks, performances and a two month exhibition exploring the record’s iconic artwork.“We’re honoured to pay tribute to David Bowie, who made his Southbank Centre debut in 1969”, says the venue’s Artistic Director Mark Ball. “The ‘Aladdin Sane’ album cover portrait is considered to be one of the most influential pop culture images of the past half century, and the music remains fresh and contemporary, so we wanted to recognise this major anniversary and reflect on the album and its artwork’s enduring legacy”.“It’s a work that continues to inspire today’s contemporary artists and the gender fluidity of the images still resonate deeply in queer culture in the UK and across the world”, he adds.The artwork exhibition will run from 6 Apr to 28 May, and has been curated by Chris Duffy, son of the photographer who took the distinctive lightning flash portrait, Brian Duffy.

According to a press statement, the pair combined “their love of BTS and passion for LEGO building” and “worked together to bring the set to life”.Talking about their process, Jacob said: “Josh did the building and design work and, as a massive BTS fan, I told him what needed to be in it, what details were most important.

The Kinks have announced a two-part anthology series called ‘The Journey’.Both releases will compile hits and other choice cuts from the London legends’ sprawling catalogue – which from 1963 to 1993, spanned a stonking 24 studio albums – by themes. The first part is due out on March 24 via BMG, and comes with its 30-song tracklist split into four themed mini-compilations (one per side for the two-disc vinyl set).The first chunk of 10 songs will cover themes of “becoming a man, the search for adventure, finding an identity and a girl”, while the second chunk spans seven songs about “ambition achieved, bitter taste of success, loss of friends, [and when] the past comes back and bites you in the back-side”.
