Gorillaz debut new Tame Impala and Bootie Brown collaboration ‘New Gold’ at All Points East

Gorillaz headlined London’s All Points East last night (August 19) and debuted a new collaboration with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown – watch them play ‘New Gold’ below.The band played the Victoria Park festival to kick off the second part of their 2022 European tour, and were supported by IDLES, Turnstile, Yves Tumor, Self Esteem, Femi Kuti, Obongjayar, NewDad, Remi Wolf, Gabriels, Ibeyi, Nia Archives and Willow Kayne.During their headline set, they brought out a bounty of special guests including De La Soul, Happy Mondays‘ Shaun Ryder, Popcaan, Moonchild Sanelly and Mos Def.Half way through the set, they then debuted a brand new song called ‘New Gold’, featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown.

Tame Impala’s full line-up for this year’s All Points East appearance has been unveiled.Joining Kevin Parker and the band at London’s Victoria Park on August 25 will be Omar Apollo, Working Men’s Cub, Mattiel and Q.The festival will return for two editions in 2022, running run across two weekends: Friday, August 19 – Saturday, August 20 and Thursday, August 25 – Sunday, August 28.Other acts headlining across the dates include Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, The National, Kraftwerk, The Chemical Brothers, Disclosure and Gorillaz.

Tame Impala announce ‘Lonerism’ 10th anniversary show to headline Desert Daze

Tame Impala have announced a headline set at this year’s Desert Daze Festival to mark the ten year anniversary of their second album ‘Lonerism’.The psych-rock stars will play the 2012 album in its entirety at the California festival, which takes place from September 30 to October 2 and is also celebrating its tenth anniversary.A post shared by Tame Impala (@tameimpala)The lineup for the rest of the festival has also been announced, with Iggy Pop and King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard joining Tame Impala as headliners.
