BLACKPINK have announced six more support acts for their upcoming appearance at London’s BST Hyde Park.Taking place between June 24 and July 8, this year’s edition of BST Hyde Park will feature a headline slot from global superstars BLACKPINK — making them the first K-pop group in history to headline a major UK festival.Back in March, the girl group announced the first wave of artists set to support them for their slot on July 2, including American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter and South Korean indie-rock band The Rose. Now, BLACKPINK have announced six more acts set to join them at the festival.Rebecca Black is the first of the newly-announced artists set to support Jennie Kim and co.

ENHYPEN have announced their 2023 ‘Fate’ world tour, featuring shows in the US, Japan, South Korea and more.ENHYPEN are set to embark on a tour of Asia and the US this year, featuring 13 shows over three countries so far. The boyband’s ‘Fate’ world tour will kick off this July with a two-night concert in Seoul’s KSPO Dome.In September, ENHYPEN will play four shows in Japan.

The US leg will kick off in Los Angeles on August 13.Following which, the girl group will plays shows in Dallas, Miami, Chicago and more over the next month, before wrapping things up in New York City on September 5.

WayV, the Chinese sub-group of K-pop boyband NCT, have announced the European leg of their Fanmeeting Tour ‘Phantom’.WayV will head to two European cities as part of their wider 2023 Fanmeeting Tour ‘Phantom’. In less than a month, the boyband will perform at London’s Eventim Apollo on June 8, followed by the La Seine Musicale in Paris on June 11.According to WayV’s official Twitter account, only five of the group’s six members will be in attendance at the fanmeeting: namely Kun, Ten, Xiaojun, Hendery and YangYang.

Christopher Vourlias Heretic has acquired world sales rights to “Sweet Dreams,” the sophomore feature from award-winning Bosnian Dutch director Ena Sendijarević (“Take Me Somewhere Nice”). Set on a remote Indonesian island during the waning days of the colonial era, the film centers on Dutch sugar plantation owner Jan and his wife, Agathe, who sit atop the local food chain — until the night when Jan, returning from a visit to his native concubine, Siti, suddenly drops dead in front of his wife. Desperate to hold onto her privileged lifestyle, Agathe forces her estranged son, Cornelis, and his pregnant wife, Josefien, to travel from Europe and take over the family business. Those plans are upended by a worker’s uprising, as Cornelis and his progressive ideals must confront the uncomfortable reality that his father’s will places Siti at the helm of the family estate, setting in motion a cat-and-mouse game that puts those ideals to the test.

K-pop boyband U-KISS have announced an upcoming reunion and new music.Today (May 15), South Korean music label Tango Music announced that second-generation K-pop boyband U-KISS would be making a comeback later this year, with former members of the group set to re-join the act. The as-yet-unnamed mini-album, due out in June, as part of U-KISS’ 15th anniversary project.“To mark the boyband’s 15th anniversary, U-KISS have confirmed a six-member comeback with Soohyun, Hoon and Kiseop at the forefront,” said Tango Music, per Korea JoongAng Daily.

Stories x Women’s works to support and provide opportunities for African, Asia-Pacific Islander and Latin American women animators who want to tell their authentic stories. BreAnna Bell Scott Ly has signed on to join HBO’s “The Sympathizer” in a recurring role, Variety has learned. He’s attached to play Gunner Dao, a Vietnamese former soldier who escaped to the US and is part of the Recon squad. Ly joins previously announced cast members Hoa Xuande, Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Vy Le and Alan Trong, Sandra Oh, Kieu Chinh and Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen. Robert Downey Jr. is slated to play multiple supporting roles as the main antagonists. He also serves as an executive producer on the project. Based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning debut novel of the same name, “The Sympathizer” is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his resulting exile in the United States. Production recently wrapped and took place between Thailand and Los Angeles.
