Super Junior’s Siwon and actress Lee Da-hee are set to star as the leads of ENA’s upcoming romance K-drama, Icy Cold Romance (literal title).Icy Cold Romance follows two close friends who start to develop feelings for each other after an unexpected meeting on the set of a reality dating show. According to South Korean media outlet TenAsia, Siwon will be playing Park Jae-hoon, a plastic surgeon who signs up to star in the reality show Kingdom of Love as a favour to his best friend.Lee (Search: WWW), meanwhile, is set to play Goo Yeo-reum, a producing director who obsesses over Kingdom of Love after repeatedly helming programs that have been discontinued.Icy Cold Romance will be helmed by Choi Kyu-shik, best known for his work with Rude Miss Young Ae and the second and third seasons of Let’s Eat.

Super Junior have announced their upcoming 2024 ‘Super Show Spin-off: Halftime’ tour, with concerts in Thailand, Singapore and more.Today (April 18), Super Junior announced the dates and venues of their upcoming 2024 ‘Super Show Spin-off: Halftime’ tour. It comes about three months after the boyband first teased the tour in a statement to news outlet News1.The K-pop boyband will kick off their 12-date tour with a two-date performance on June 22 and 23 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea.

Super Junior member Choi Siwon has issued a statement addressing his alleged involvement in a cryptocurrency scam.Super Junior’s released the statement through the Community page of his official YouTube channel, denying any involvement with Korea Youth Committee’s Youth Pay. The committee has allegedly been to be linked to an apparent cryptocurrency scam, according to MK Sports via Soompi.“I wish to express explicitly that I have no involvement with regard to the controversy surrounding the Korea Youth Committee’s Youth Pay,” Siwon said.

Kyuhyun, a member of K-pop boyband Super Junior, was injured during a knife attack in Seoul.Kyuhyun, who is currently starring in the stage musical Ben Hur at the LG Arts Center in Seoul’s Gangseo District, was reportedly injured during a knife attack backstage at the show’s theatre.A woman in her 30s has been arrested for breaking into the dressing room at the LG Arts Center and brandishing a knife at actors, according to SBS Star. The incident occurred at round 6pm on Sunday (November 19).Kyuhyun was reportedly mildly injured while trying to “restrain the intruder”, per Korea JoongAng Daily.

Super Junior vocalist Kyuhyun has officially signed with comedian Yoo Jae-suk’s agency, Antenna.On August 7, Antenna released a statement via Korean news outlet Sports World announcing that Super Junior member Kyuhyun has signed an exclusive contract with the company, founded and headed by Yoo Hee-yeol.“We plan on actively supporting Kyuhyun’s wide breadth of activities in various ways, so please show lots of support for Kyuhyun who is standing at a new starting line,” the rest of the statement read, as translated by Soompi. Super Junior have left their long-time agency SM Entertainment.Today (July 14), SM Entertainment announced that members Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun would not be renewing their contracts with the K-pop agency after nearly two decades under the company.In a statement, SM Entertainment said that Eunhyuk, Donghae and Kyuhyun “will each be pursuing individual activities”, per Yonhap News Agency and translated by Soompi. But the agency also added that the trio would be “continuing their Super Junior promotions together with SM”.“We will be cheering the three of them on as they take on new challenges, and we plan to communicate closely with them so that they can effectively carry out both their group activities and their solo activities at the same time,” the company added.In the same statement, SM Entertainment also confirmed that the remaining six members of Super Junior – namely Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Siwon and Ryeowook – have all renewed their contracts with the K-pop agency.Donghae and Eunhyuk have both been signed to SM Entertainment since making their debut as members of Super Junior in 2005.

Super Junior, is set to go on tour this year.Super Junior D&E – comprising Donghae and Hunhyuk – announced their upcoming 2023 ‘DElight Party’ world tour today (May 15) through the duo’s newly opened social media accounts.The pair’s 2023 world tour will kick-off with a two-night concert in Seoul, South Korean on June 24 and 25. Following which, Super Junior D&E will head on the Asia leg of the tour over the next three months, including shows in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and more.In their official announcement, Super Junior D&E also said that more dates will be revealed in the future.

K-pop agency SM Entertainment has previewed its upcoming music release plans for the first half of 2023.On February 20, SM uploaded a report of its earnings for the fourth quarter of 2022 to its official website for investors. In the new report, SM also shared the line-up of comebacks it has scheduled for the first half of 2023.According to the report, April will see the release of Girls’ Generation leader and soloist Taeyeon’s fifth mini-album, the debut of a new NCT sub-unit with their first mini-album as well as girl group aespa’s first-ever full-length album.Meanwhile, veteran boyband SHINee are scheduled to make a comeback with their eighth studio album in May, marking their first group release since their seventh repackaged  album ‘Atlantis’ in April 2021.

SUPER JUNIOR singer Siwon has opened up about his past experiences with online hate as a K-pop idol.In a recent interview with People, the singer was asked to share a few of the most life-changing moments during his work as a UNICEF ambassador.
