A Strictly Come Dancing star has fallen ill with a severe illness just weeks before the next season launches.
Amanda Abbington announced on her Instagram story on Thursday that she had been struck with 'vicious' food poisoning. She approached her fans on social media to see if they had any tips, the Mirror reports.
Over a black background, she wrote: "Food poisoning. Particularly vicious one." She added: "Any tips on how to feel back to normal [would be] greatly appreciated."

The desperate message was signed off with two sick face emojis and praying hands. Amanda's sickness is the most recent in a turn of sour events for Strictly bosses.
Her co-star Adam Thomas previously revealed he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. He highlighted that he has been in a 'lot of pain' ahead of his show appearance.

Announcing the news, the Waterloo Road star wrote: "The reason I signed up to Strictly is because I just want to be able to move again, get fit and do it, all with a smile on my face! It really couldn’t have come at a better time I’m a firm believer of everything happening for a reason, and I know the journey I’ve been on was meant to happen, to never take small things in life for granted!
"Like going for a run, playing with my kids and just being able to walk with no pain! I know it’s going to be tough and I’ve definitely got my work cut out but am up for the challenge and can not wait to get on that dance floor!!"
Amanda previously found herself wrapped up in controversy with fans following comments she made about a child in a drag performance.

Strictly Come Dancing has announced Les Dennis as the final celebrity joining the ballroom cast in 2023. It's not the first time that Les has been asked to be a part of the hit BBC show, as he was originally asked when he was starring on Coronation Street, between 2014 and 2016, but he turned it down. Revealing he would be joining the show on Friday morning, he said: "I was asked when I was in Corrie but you can't do it when you're in Corrie so you have to wait til you come out."
