Confirmed as the eighth contestant taking part in 2023's Strictly Come Dancing series, Adam Thomas is set to be a massive hit. Likely to be this year's hunk of the show, we predict great things for him even though he hilariously admits he "can't dance to save himself!" The Thomas brother is ready to hit the dancefloor with a bang, but just who is Adam Thomas behind-the-scenes? OK! takes a deep dive into the cheeky Manc to find out a little more about the star who will be foxtrotting into our livingrooms every weekend. The former Emmerdale star has already been on our telly for years, even winning a Best Soap Newcomer at the TV Choice awards for his explosive storylines in the soap.
Joining in 2009, he played Adam Barton for seven years but fans watched with shock at his exit storyline. Character Adam, escaped a prison sentence for the murder of evil Emma Barton, despite his mum Moira actually killing her.
Viewers watched as he confessed to the crime to protect his mum but on the way to court for sentencing, Cain and Aaron Dingle ambushed the police van, letting him run free. After his final scenes in 2018 he reprised his role as a big fan favourite Donte Charles in Waterloo Road - this time as a teacher.
Originally a bad boy in the BBC show, Adam's character evolved to become a senior in the infamous school. Another addition to his new stint on the show was the joining of his son, Teddy, 8, and niece, Scarlett, 14.
In a mass of confusion - prepare yourself - Adam who is Scarlett's real life uncle plays her dad in the soap, as well as fictional (and real) dad to Teddy. As well as being a superstar actor and incredible father and husband, Strictly isn't the first time we've seen Adam take part in a reality show. The cheeky
