EastEnders fans are set for a dramatic week with actress Heather Peace at the centre of explosive scenes.
Heather, 48, plays character Eve Unwin on the BBC soap. Earlier this week, viewers saw Eve brutally attack Caz - the woman responsible for killing her sister in a drunk driving accident - leaving fans horrified.
Eve's wife Stacey and former lover Suki were stunned to see Eve attacking Caz in the alleyway as they tried to diffuse the violent altercation. However, Eve and Suki are growing closer following the attack.
We take a look at actress Heather Peace's life off screen as character is at centre of dramatic storyline.
The Mirror reports that Heather has been married to her long-term partner Ellie Dickinson for over a decade now, with the pair first entering into a civil partnership in 2013. After same-sex marriages became recognised in England and Wales in March 2014, Heather and Ellie tied the knot the same year.
Heather openly spoke out against the Catholic Church's stance on gay marriage prior to the legislation change and shared that she wouldn't get married in a religious setting. "The problem comes with the Catholic Church saying, 'We’re going to be forced to marry gay people in our church.' That’s embarrassing," Heather declared in 2012.
She continued: "I was brought up a Catholic, and in all honesty, on the happiest day of my life, if you really think I would set foot in any building that would rather I wasn’t there, then you’re having a laugh. Why would I want to sit with a priest when I don’t even believe any of that?"
Earlier this year, the couple celebrated a decade of marriage from their 2013 civil partnership as Heather shared a gushing tribute to her wife and three children.
