Strcitly Come Dancing's Giovanni Pernice shares injury update as he shares reaction to celebrity partner

Giovanni Pernice has shared his reaction to his new celebrity dance partner after offering an injury update with days to go until the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. It was confirmed back in April that the Italian dancer would be once again taking to the ballroom floor.
But just as he got into rehearsals for the BBC One dance contest, Giovanni suffered a setback. The group reunited as they started rehearsals for the professional dance numbers which have now been pre-recorded and will be aired during the results shows which take place every Sunday following the live main show on a Saturday night.
At the end of July, Giovanni took to social media where he revealed he had picked up an injury during his tour with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke which he completed alongside his preparation to return to the show.

Speaking directly to the camera in a video posted to his Instagram page, the 32-year-old told his followers at the time: "As you probably know I'm on tour at the moment with Anton and doing one of the dances I did twist my ankle on stage. I have just been to the doctor, to the physio, and he advised to rest for a few weeks..."
He added: "This also means that I am going to miss a few of the Strictly professional group numbers but I just need to give some rest to my ankle and come back stronger than ever for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing which I'm really looking forward to."
