Strictly Come Dancing stars have been beset by injuries days before the show launches. Contestants have been keeping worried fans updated - with one injury even taking on a viral life of its own and becoming known as "blister gate".
At least three celebrities have suffered aches and pains in rehearsals for the 22nd series, the Mirror reports - saying their feet are suffering from long hours of rehearsals. Amanda Abbington was one of the first to open up about the physical strain of the training on her body.
She took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a snap of a huge circular blood blister on her foot. The actress explained it was the result of her uncomfortable footwear, dubbing them "torture shoes".

She said: "Dancing in heels, when you absolutely aren’t a dancer, is clearly a blister minefield but, moreover, very much a young man’s game… however, onwards. Back tomorrow for more shenanigans!"
Fellow contestant Zara McDermott responded to say she was suffering from the same problem. She said: "Same here … I’ll rub your feet you rub mine?" while Ellie Leach said: "I dread to think what my feet look like after today".
Amanda later added in a video: "I'm not going to keep giving you videos of me going 'Oh my blister' but some of you asked how it's all going so I thought I'd give you a little update. Got to work and had to wear my torture shoes which is now what I call them. The two blood blisters on the soles of my feet burst so...that was nice."
