Stephen Mulhern has responded after he was "punched" by champion boxer Ricky Hatton during the launch of Dancing On Ice on Sunday night, 14 January. The TV funny man and presenter made his highly-anticipated debut alongside Holly Willoughby on the ITV competition show, having taken over from previous host Phillip Schofield. Ricky, 45, who is taking part in this year's series, unfortunately ended up in the skate-off on next Sunday's show. Holly appeared so taken-aback by the move that her mouth dropped open in shock, as Stephen went flying to the floor behind her.
While the show's crew would have likely made sure the presenter was safe off-screen, Stephen later joked on X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was already "starting to bruise". "Ricky even landing knockout blows on @dancingonice! Hope you're okay @StephenMulhern," Ricky's own account posted. Now, the TV star has explained the reality behind the situation.
