Stephanie Beatriz and Sandra Oh will be this year’s Outfest honorees. The awards they’ll receive are meant to celebrate their LGBTQA+ allyship and contribution to the arts.

Angelique Jackson Sandra Oh and Stephanie Beatriz will receive special honors at the 2022 Outfest Fusion QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous and People of Color) Film Festival.Oh will be presented with the James Schamus Ally Award, which recognizes a great ally to the LGBTQ community, while Beatriz receives the Fusion Achievement Award, which recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to LGBTQ stories, arts, and media visibility. The honors will be bestowed at the film festival’s opening gala on April 8.

They were joined by Latinx artists Becky G and Luis Fonsi.  Gaitán slayed in the opening segment with a stunning yellow dress and sparkling earrings and necklace to match the flawless look.  Despite the critical acclaim and commercial success of «We Don't Talk About Bruno,» Disney opted to submit the love song «Dos Oruguitas» from for Oscar consideration, landing it in the Best Original Song category. The song is going up against Beyoncé’s “Be Alive” from, Van Morrison’s “Down to Joy” from , Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell’s “No Time to Die” from, and Diane Warren’s “Somehow You Do” from .ET spoke with composer and lyricist Miranda earlier this month at the Critics Choice Awards about the impact of «Bruno.»«The first person I got a DM from was [director] Taika Waititi, and he was the first one that was like, 'It's constant with my kids! It's constant right now.

As I tipped in my story on the Best Original Song performers announced on Tuesday for the 94th Annual Academy Awards, another key movie song not mentioned in their release, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto will also be performed on the big show even though it wasn’t even submitted by Disney and songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda for consideration in the category where Miranda is a nominee for another tune from the same film, “Dos Oruguitas” also from Encanto.

Stephanie Beatriz, there's one song that proved to be a truly unique experience to record.The alum recently spoke with about her part in the acclaimed Disney animated musical, and revealed that she recorded one of the film's most powerful and emotional tunes, «Waiting on a Miracle,» while in labor.«I didn’t want to tell anybody at Disney because I didn’t want anyone to freak out,» recalled Beatriz, who reflected on just how close it came to her not being able to record.«I was already having some contractions when we were scheduled to record that day,» she recalled. «I was like, 'Well, fingers crossed I finish the song before [the baby] comes!'»Beatriz — who starred as Mirabel in the gorgeous animated family dramedy -- welcomed her daughter, Rosaline, the following day.
