Megan Thee Stallion Joins 'Encanto' Cast for Oscars Performance of 'We Don't Talk About Bruno'

Tory Lanez has had his bail increased for violating a protective order in an ongoing case with Megan Thee Stallion.The Houston rapper  – real name Megan Pete – was shot in the foot after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in July 2020. She subsequently claimed that Lanez was the person who had fired at her.Lanez was later charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.

Tory Lanez, 29, got into more legal trouble on Tuesday. The rapper was handcuffed during a hearing in court after a judge ruled that he violated a protective order by talking about Megan Thee Stallion, 27, on social media, according to TMZ. He is apparently now in the custody of the Sheriff’s Department and his bail is set at $350K, even though prosecutors originally asked for him to be held either without bail or a bail set at $5 million.

Tory Lanez, who is charged with shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the Hollywood Hills back in the summer of 2020, was taken into custody in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday for allegedly violating the terms of a pre-trial protective order.L.A. County Superior Court Judge David Herriford agreed with prosecutors that some of Lanez's recent social media posts appeared to be messages directed at Megan Thee Stallion.

As I tipped in my story on the Best Original Song performers announced on Tuesday for the 94th Annual Academy Awards, another key movie song not mentioned in their release, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto will also be performed on the big show even though it wasn’t even submitted by Disney and songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda for consideration in the category where Miranda is a nominee for another tune from the same film, “Dos Oruguitas” also from Encanto.

Megan Thee Stallion performed her collaboration with Dua Lipa, ‘Sweetest Pie’ live at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards last night (March 22).The performance, minus Lipa, saw the rapper take to the stage with a troupe of dancers at the Los Angeles ceremony The Shrine Auditorium before she went on to swing a custard pie in the face of one of her fellow dancers.She ended the routine by twerking a melody out on a piano.
