Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Eye Eye Pictures, the banner recently launched by the producers of Joachim Trier’s Oscar-nominated “The Worst Person in the World,” has started filming “Armand,” a feature film starring Cannes prizewinning actor Renate Reinsve. Charades has come on board to handle international sales on the film. “Armand” marks the feature debut of Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel, whose short film “Fanny” was nominated for an Amanda Award, Norway’s equivalent to the Oscars, in 2017. The story follows a 6-year-old boy, Armand, who is accused of crossing boundaries against his best friend at elementary school. While no one knows what actually happened between the two boys, the incident triggers a series of events, forcing parents and school staff into a captivating battle of redemption where madness, desire and obsession arise.

This is one very unusual David vs. Goliath story.

James Cameron has a great deal of experience with the process and the thrill of such an adventure.The Oscar-winning filmmaker has not yet publicly commented on the OceanGate Expeditions tourist submersible that went missing during a dive down to the Titanic's final resting place over the weekend.However, he's spoken out many times about the majesty of the wreckage, and why someone might risk life and limb for a chance to lay eyes on it themselves.According to Cameron, his iconic film about the sinking of the massive ship came about not necessarily out of a passion to make the movie itself, but more for the opportunity to explore and dive down to the wreckage itself — which he described as «the Mount Everest of shipwrecks» in an interview with in 2009.«I made because I wanted to dive to the shipwreck,» Cameron told the publication, «not because I particularly wanted to make the movie.»«When I learned some other guys had dived to the Titanic to make an IMAX movie, I said, 'I’ll make a Hollywood movie to pay for an expedition and do the same thing,'» Cameron recalled. «I loved that first taste, and I wanted more.»Reflecting on his motivations for deep sea diving — beyond his childhood love for explorers and adventurers such as Jacques Cousteau — Cameron told in 2011, «I can think of no greater fantasy than to be an explorer and see what no human eye has seen before.»Speaking with  in 2018, Cameron explained the desire to explore the majesty of the Titanic and the mysteries of the deep ocean.«I call it bearing witness,» Cameron shared.

The search continues for the Titan submarine. The tourist submarine disappeared on an expedition to the bottom of the ocean to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. With the help of the Canadian Armed Forces, the US Navy, and other search-and-rescue crews, there have been few indicators as to where the sub is and what exactly happened — leaving the loved ones of the five passengers with more questions than answers.

McKinley Franklin editor Neal Kirby, son of the seminal Marvel Comics artist and writer Jack Kirby, has shared a statement expressing his distaste with Disney+’s new documentary spotlighting the life of Stan Lee. Credited as one of the leading creators of Marvel Comics, Lee’s life and legacy are given a detailed exploration through the doc, which premiered on the streamer on June 16. Kirby released a skeptical statement about the film through the Twitter account of his daughter, Jillian Kirby. “It should be noted and is generally accepted that Stan Lee had a limited knowledge of history, mythology, or science,” Kirby wrote. “On the other hand, my father’s knowledge of these subjects, to which I and many others can personally attest, was extensive. Einstein summed it up better; ‘More the knowledge, lesser the ego. Lesser the knowledge, more the ego.’”
