Splash park and giant beach arrive at The Trafford Centre as Summer Daze opens for school holidays 2023

A huge beach and splash park have arrived at The Trafford Centre as its popular Summer Daze event opens for the school holidays.
Last year's event, which saw a giant splash pool arrive at the site for the first time, was a huge success, with thousands of families enjoying the paddling pool, complete with water fountain, palm trees, wheel-shaped splash buckets and multiple water jets.
This year the organisers have gone one better - by adding an extra toddler pool too.

Not only that, but they've added even more features to the large splash pool, including two water guns.
You can access the pool and beach area for £3 a ticket and there will be free activities across the school holidays.
Every Thursday afternoon throughout the summer holidays there'll be free hair braiding and tattoos (first come, first served) and craft workshops, with a different activity each week - ranging from decorating beach buckets to designing a family photo frame.
There are more than 20 rides to enjoy too, which are paid for either individually with tokens or with a wristband.
Freddy Stokes, managing director of Big Bee Events, the company behind Summer Daze, said: "After listening to comments from last year's event, this year's event has an additional pool for toddlers, four years and below.
"Last year the pool had six water features and this time we have added eight brand new water features including two water guns."
Rides include all the favourites such as the Bumper Boatz, Jumping Frog, Waterballs, Starflyer and roller coasters.
