‘Spencer’ Producer Komplizen Film Joins Indie Production Collective The Creatives

Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentSF Studios has boarded “Forever,” a football-themed film directed by Anders Hazelius, the award-winning director of “Thunder in My Heart” and the popular TV series “Tunna Blå Linjen.”Tackling friendship, love and football, “Forever” is based on a script by Jessika Jankert (“So Damn Easy Going”) and produced by Stefan Lindén (“Eagles”) and Erik Lundqvist (“Pink Cloud Syndrome”) for SF Studios.“Forever” stars emerging actors Flutra Cela and Judith Sigfridsson as Mila and Kia, a pair of teenage best friends and aspiring football professionals. When the girls get a new demanding football coach Lollo (Agnes Lindström Bolmgren), they slowly start to drift apart.

Kristen Stewart, 31, went to great lengths to portray the late Princess Diana in her critically acclaimed film Spencer. The Oscar nominee revealed in Vanity Fair‘s 2022 Hollywood Issue, published on February 17, that she tried purging to prepare for a scene involving Diana’s difficult battle with bulimia. “I wanted to make sure that was not glossed over,” Kristen told the outlet.

Yossman Komplizen Film, the German studio behind Princess Diana biopic “Spencer,” have joined The Creatives, an alliance of independent production companies.The alliance was formed to increase the companies’ “collective power in the face of the changing landscape.”Film and TV production outfit Komplizen, which was founded in 1999 by Janine Jackowski and Maren Ade, joins eleven other companies from across the world including Razor and Haut Et Court, the latter of which initiated the collective.The companies work closely together in a number of ways, from sharing information, combining talent and networks and negotiating with common rules to co-production and partnerships.

Kristen Stewart, who reached global fame with the $3.35 billion grossing franchise Twilight, has landed her first Best Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal as Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain’s Spencer.

Perhaps the most glaring omission from this morning’s BAFTA nominations was Princess Diana biopic Spencer.

Prentice Penny (Insecure, Uncorked) has signed on to direct an adaptation of the New York Times bestselling graphic novel New Kid for Universal Pictures, tapping Eli Wilson Pelton (Insecure, Bridgerton) to adapt the script. His production company A Penny For Your Thoughts Entertainment has also come aboard to develop and produce the film alongside The SpringHill Company.
