Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor opened up during an appearance on This Morning and revealed that her eldest son Sonny has moved out of the family home to live with his grandma, Janet Ellis. Sophie, 44, opened up about her 'chaotic' family life and admitted that she struggles with the idea of not having more children. She is mum to Sonny, 19, Kit, 14, Ray, 11, Jesse, seven, and Mickey, four, with husband Richard Jones, 43, a bassist in pop group The Feeling.
She told hosts Rochelle Humes and Craig Doyle: "My oldest son is 19 now and he's just moved out to live my mum, 10 minutes away, it's quite wholesome! I have five boys but I don't have five of the same person some of them love music and others don't. I have one still at home who never wants to come to any of my gigs. But the majority of them like music actually." The mum-of-five continued and shared: "Five of anything is a lot.
I love the chaos of big family life luckily.
There are always things happening. One is running another has brought four friends over. It's a good antidote to the darkness sometimes.
They never ask "how did your gig go?" They just tell me about their day and I like that." She also mentioned her carefree attitude towards her performances, saying she doesn't worry "about what people think of my dancing" as she simply does what feels right for her on stage.
A couple of years back, Sophie spoke candidly about her bustling household with five boys on the Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast. She confessed: "If I hadn't had five I think I would have just had one. It was all or nothing.
