Upcoming I'm A Celebrity star Josie Gibson has opened up about how she dropped four dress sizes ahead of the show. She'd decided to embark on a new fitness regime after discovering she had got the jungle gig, so hired a personal trainer and dropped from a size 18 to a 14. The This Morning star, 38, knuckled down to achieve the weight loss through hard work and dedication, revealing that she is not a fan of weight loss jabs and other unnatural remedies.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "I did hire a personal trainer and we’ve been weight training. And then I've been running with my hairdresser Maurice. I’ve never been a runner but now I’ve been running a few 5Ks here and there.
"The thing is with the fat jabs, I can understand, you know, when people get desperate and they want to do that. But it wouldn't be for me, only because I don’t want to mess around with my body, I like everything natural, I always go down the natural route. For me, I don’t want to mess around with myself like that." Josie landed in Brisbane earlier this week before I'm A Celeb and said: "I'm really excited to be here in Australia, I have never been here before." Before her spot in the jungle was confirmed, she joked: "What am I scared of? I'm here for a weight loss retreat so I don't know what you're talking about." Told she might be on a diet of rice and beans when filming Down Under, Josie added: "If that is the programme that is the programme!" Josie went on to say that it was "hard saying goodbye" to her five-year-old son Reggie saying: "He is only five.
Oh, it was really emotional saying goodbye. I can talk about it. I feel so emotional." She also praised her This Morning co-host Craig Doyle.
