Devlin, whose credits include “Black Panther,” “Bullet Train” and “Gone in 60 Seconds,” was honored with the Cinema Audio Society’s 2023 career achievement award. Alejandro González Iñárritu who directed this year’s Oscar-nominated “Bardo” received the CAS Filmmaker of the Year.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was named Favorite Movie at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards tonight. Other big winners include Wednesday as Favorite Family TV Show, and its star Jenna Ortega as Favorite Female TV Star (Family), along with kid-fave SpongeBob Squarepants as Favorite Animated Show and Stranger Things alum Millie Brown Brown, who scored the Favorite Movie Actress award for Enola Holmes, and Enola Holmes 2. Homer Laffoon is turning 21!

Homer Heche Laffoon turned 21 on Thursday, and helping him celebrate the milestone birthday is his father with a road trip to San Francisco and a special message for the young adult's late mother, Anne Heche.In a touching Instagram post, Homer's father, Coley Laffoon, posted a carousel of photos featuring Homer throughout his life. There are photos of him as a young child and others where he's all grown up. But it's the lengthy caption that captured hearts, with Coley assuring Anne that Homer's in good hands.«Impossible not to close my eyes and think of @anneheche zooming around the cosmos, swinging by Northern California, smiling her knowing and still vulnerable smile as she races past,» Coley wrote in part.

Son Lux is the first band ever to be nominated for best original score at the Oscars with Everything Everywhere All at Once, and this year they’re the only composer to own noms in original score and original song the latter for their collaboration with Mitski and Oscar winner/former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne with “This is a Life”, the end credits song of the A24 movie.

Shirley Kurata’s win comes as “Everything Everywhere All At Once” has garnered momentum heading into the final phase of Oscar voting which begins on March 2. Kurata bested titans in the field going up against Deborah L. Scott (“Avatar: The Way of Water”), history-making Ruth E. Carter (“Black Panther) and Mayes C. Rubeo (“Thor: Love and Thunder”). Catherine Martin won for her work on Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis.” Building over 90 looks alone for Austin Butler, Martin, a triple-nominee for production design and best picture remains a favorite.

Rihanna will perform her Original Song nominee “Lift Me Up,” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Diane Warren and Sofia Carson will also be there to give a live rendition of the Warren-penned nominated song, “Applause,” from “Tell It Like a Woman.” The Academy has not announced whether all the Best Original Song nominees will perform during the telecast, but a person with knowledge of the plans recently told TheWrap that it was likely all the songs would be performed on the show. The producers will be announcing more performers in the weeks ahead.

Japanese sing Mitski sings the end credits song in the movie with Byrne.

The eventual winner of the production design Oscar has landed an ADG nomination. Nicole Kidman presented the Art Directors Guild’s Cinematic Imagery award to “Elvis” director Baz Luhrmann and his longtime producing partner and Oscar-winning production and costume designer Catherine Martin.
