This week's ITV schedule has been given a shake-up as the channel gets set to air coverage of the Rugby World Cup, with Emmerdale and Coronation Street's usual time slots being changed. New schedules have been released for ITV1, showing that the first week of September has some one-off changes to regular timings with soap lovers having to tune in at different times throughout the week. Both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air as usual on Monday 4 September, but on Tuesday Emmerdale will air at 7pm with an hour-long episode of the soap.

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Vicky Krieps, best performance prize winner in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard for “Corsage,” will star as Sophie Toscan du Plantier in six time-Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan and David Merriman’s “Re-creation,” which is being presented in the Venice Gap-Financing Market. The docu-drama, which centers on the brutal murder in 1996 in Ireland of French film and TV producer Toscan du Plantier, has been co-written and will be co-directed by Sheridan, best known for “My Left Foot” and “In the Name of the Father,” and Merriman.

EastEnders (BBC1) It’s going to be a dramatic week as Cindy returns to Walford to see Peter. Despite Ian’s hopes that she will come straight back to France without bumping into anyone else, Cindy decides she needs to clear the air with Kathy too – which goes about as well as you’d expect. Ian arrives to spirit Cindy away again, but before they can leave, she comes face to face with George.

Two of the UK's most popular soaps - Emmerdale and Coronation Street - will face disruption to their usual schedule in upcoming weeks.The ITV soaps with interrupted air times are both in the midst of some big storylines, as Coronation Street follows Stephen Reid's attempts to get away with murder while Charity and Liam are set to have a blossoming romance in Emmerdale. Emmerdale usually airs at 7.30pm for half an hour each evening, with an hour long episode on Thursday nights. Meanwhile, Corrie usually airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm for an hour.

Peter Beale is to return to Walford during the episode on Tuesday, 22 August, spoilers have revealed. Peter's return has been teased for weeks since he was filmed in France with Cindy and Ian. However, as his sister Anna Knight steps up her search for her mum, Cindy, Peter soon finds out about his two extra sisters Anna and Gina.

Brooke revealed she was suffering from the condition as she uploaded a bikini selfie that showed her reddened chest.

Leanne Battersby may be having a quiet time on the cobbles of late, but she has faced her fair share of drama over the years. The character arrived to the cobbles in 1997 when it was announced the 'family from hell' was to be introduced to the ITV soap to draw up some trouble on the famous street.

It was bittersweet for Outlander fans this week as the latest episode dropped following a break of one week in the schedule. The broadcast of episode eight, season seven brought as much sadness as happiness as it spelled the midseason finale and the start of a new Droughtlander that could last until early 2024.
