Peter Beale is to return to Walford during the episode on Tuesday, 22 August, spoilers have revealed. Peter's return has been teased for weeks since he was filmed in France with Cindy and Ian. However, as his sister Anna Knight steps up her search for her mum, Cindy, Peter soon finds out about his two extra sisters Anna and Gina.
As far as Anna and Gina are aware, their mum is called Rose Knight, but she is actually Cindy Beale, as she was under witness protection at the time. In recent weeks Anna has been trying to find her, and last week she was handed her phone number by a private investigator. She decided to ring her, but Cindy failed to answer the call, leaving Anna no choice but to leave a voicemail.
Heading into Tuesday's episode, Anna decides to send a scathing text to her mum, and heads to see Bobby Beale for a heart-to-heart on the situation. Over in France, Peter manages to intercept the text from Anna on Cindy's phone and starts to interrogate Ian about the situation. After speaking to his father, Peter learns that he has two sisters, who Cindy had not told him about.
Following his chat with Peter, Ian quickly deletes the message from Anna and begs Peter not to tell Cindy about the message. Peter agrees to keep it a secret, but he shocks Ian when he breaks the news that he plans to leave France and head to Walford, to get to know his two sisters. He books the Eurostar for that night and heads back to where he grew up to find his extra family members.
