Porno for Pyros have announced their first tour in 25 years in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their self-titled album.Titled ‘Horns, Thorns En Halos’ tour, the 21-city run will kick off on October 8 in Wheatland, California. From there, the band will be making stops all across North America including Las Vegas, Nevada, Chicago, Illinois,  Boston, Massachusetts,  Atlanta, Georgia, Nashville, Tennessee and more.The tour will wrap up on November 20 at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Production is now under way on “The Elephant Odyssey,” a major wildlife documentary film that will release in Imax theaters next year. The film, directed by Alice Gu, chronicles the highly unusual trek by a herd of elephants in China that began in early 2020. As the group diverted from their usual habitat and marched over 1,000 km (600 miles) across remote Yunnan Province they attracted global attention, including live-streamed drone footage. They raided grain stores, indulged in impromptu village feasts and messy mud fights, and even gave birth while on the road. Reasons for the herd’s 18-month trek are unclear, with wildlife experts variously pointing to climate change and the failure of conservation efforts.

A U.S. theatrical release kicks off on Aug. 11 in New York. It will be followed by engagements in Los Angeles and San Francisco on Aug. 18, with a limited national roll out to follow. Chilean filmmaker Maite Alberdi directed the movie, which could be a contender for the documentary Oscar. Alberdi is the Academy Award-nominated filmmaker behind “The Mole Agent.” To that end, “The Eternal Memory” played at the Berlin Film Festival, where it was the runner up for the audience award. A robust international festival campaign is already in the works, including stops at CPH:DOX, Hot Docs, and DocAviv, Hamptons Summer Docs and DC DOX.

K-pop boyband SHINee have made a comeback with their new single and album ‘Hard’.On June 26 at 6pm KST, the SM Entertainment boyband dropped their eighth studio album ‘Hard’ and a vibrant music video for its lead single of the same name.In the new visual, the members perform to the track from a trippy set modelled after the inside of a piano. Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Choi Sung-bong, a male singer who was the runner up in the 2011 edition of “Korea’s Got Talent” talent show, died on Tuesday. He was 33. Choi was found dead by police at his home in the Yeoksam district in southern Seoul at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, according to police and fire authorities on Wednesday. According to the Yonhap news agency, authorities in Seoul report that Choi appeared to have died by suicide. Their conclusion was drawn from a combination of the circumstances at his home and a note that he posted to YouTube implying death by suicide. “I sincerely apologize to all who suffered from my foolish mistake,” the note said.
