The wantaway Frenchman was granted his wish when his longwinded saga came to a head, with Julen Lopetegui's side securing his services bringing him to La Liga on loan.
As part of the deal, the Reds didn't receive a loan fee but Sevilla agreed to pay his salary in full as they bid for La Liga and Europa League success,
"It has been intense because bringing in two players like Martial and Tecatito is not easy because the competition was so great," La Colina de Nervion quote him saying.
"Different situations, with a high market profile, but very coveted pieces of the market. We have spent a lot of time convincing and acquiring these players.
"If the Sevilla coach wasn’t Lopetegui, it wouldn’t have been so easy for Tecatito and Martial to be here. The willingness of the players has helped a lot in that sense."
Martial's agent declared his client's desire to leave United in December due to his lack of playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with suspicions it wouldn't improve under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.
Prior to his Old Trafford exit, he made just four appearances for United this season, scoring just once in the draw with Everton.
His move away was one of several departures last month.
