Anthony Martial has arrived in Seville as he prepares to finalise a loan move to Sevilla after the La Liga side struck a deal with Manchester United.
Martial touched down in the Spanish city on Tuesday afternoon and will undergo a medical before putting pen to paper on a move to the Sanchez Pijuan until the end of the season.
Sevilla have been keen on signing the France international on a temporary basis throughout January, but the breakthrough came after they agreed to cover all of his £240,000-a-week pay packet. United won't receive a loan fee for Martial and there is no option to make the move permanent at the end of the season.
Martial's agent Philippe Lamboley went public with his client's desire to leave in search of more regular first-team football in December and Martial then reaffirmed that stance in a meeting with Ralf Rangnick.
After United only fielded eight of a possible nine substitutes at Aston Villa a little more than a week ago, Rangnick said Martial had refused to be part of the squad, a claim the 26-year-old rejected.
He was then named as a substitute for the win at Brentford and came off the bench against West Ham on Saturday.
His introduction was greeted with a smattering of jeers at Old Trafford, but Martial played a key role in Marcus Rashford's 93rd minute winning goal and Rangnick praised his professionalism after the game.
That was only Martial's 11th appearance for United this season — of which only four have been starts.
He joins a Sevilla side who are second in La Liga, just four points behind Real Madrid, and who will be targeting another Europa League triumph in May, with the final to be played at their home ground.
