Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui has expressed the importance for Anthony Martial to put in performances after joining on loan from Manchester United.
The Frenchman made his debut last weekend against Osasuna but failed to make his mark as Sevilla were held to a 0-0 draw, missing the opportunity to heap pressure on league leaders Real Madrid in the process as Ivan Rakitic missed an injury-time penalty.
Lopetegui's post-match comments would have served as a reality check for Martial after an ineffectual display.
Ahead of a likely second outing this weekend, Martial has been told by his new manager of the importance to integrate himself in the team which should help the forward's influence.
"On Martial, I think that he can adapt to different roles," he said in his pre-Elche press conference via Sevillafc.en.
"He can play through the middle, on the left-wing or behind the striker.
"Getting him in the right position is important but what I think is more important is his performance and this is something he can give in every position."
He endured a difficult spell at United being restricted to just 11 appearances in all competitions prior to his move to Pamplona and will be looking to put it right against Elche on Friday.
