A serial shoplifter caused chaos in Wythenshawe by stealing, hurling abuse at staff, and destroying £160 of products.
Danielle Hennifer, 35, appeared in Tameside Magistrates' Court today (February 15) for the trail of destruction she created on October 14, 2020.
On that Wednesday, Hennifer and a female friend were seen in Wythenshawe Civic Centre’s Poundstretcher and Heron Foods stores by security.

When the security guards entered the Heron shop, they found Hennifer shouting at staff, prosecutor Eileen Rogers told the court.
“She shouted, ‘I want my f***ing back bag, it’s got my gear in it’,” Ms Rogers said.
“Some shoppers were shocked by the shouting. The staff had taken her bag from her and gave it back to her. The shop was busy, and [Hennifer] swung out with both arms, causing spray cleaner to spill out on to the floor.”
Hennifer continued shouting with her friend as she was ushered out of the shop, and did not ‘calm down’ when asked to do so by staff.
That was despite the staff offering her the bag back, Ms Rogers continued, but ‘she was not interested’.
The prosecution added: “She was ushered out the tram stop. She kept saying to [one staff member] ‘you don’t know our names’.
“She was shouting abuse, saying ‘f*** off’.”
In all, Hennifer’s actions caused £163 worth of damage, the court heard, with a similar amount of stolen items in her possession recovered at the time.
She has 14 previous convictions from 22 offences in total, but has not offended since October 2020, her defence lawyer Darin Millar explained.
“She has moved to a new area, and is in a stable relationship to get away from people leading her down the path of drugs,”
