Both Manchester United and Man City are among the highest valued clubs in world football according to Forbes.
The Manchester clubs' valuations have been put under the spotlight recently after it emerged last night that Roman Abramovich is putting Chelsea up for sale. Abramovich is believed to have been put under pressure to make the move following Russia's invasion of Ukraine last week.
In the UK, the government has begun sanctioning those with links to Russia and the Vladimir Putin regime. Abramovich is thought to be a friend of the Russian president and initially handed 'stewardship' of the club to Chelsea's charitable trust.

However, before the Blues' FA Cup tie with Luton Town, Abramovich announced that he would be selling the club. Profits from the sale would go to 'all the victims of the Ukraine war' he added.
