The adorable moment a Scots Harry Potter fan got their dream engagement has gone viral.
In a nod to JK Rowling's popular children's book series, the loved-up pair were spotted outside the Elephant House on Victoria Street in Edinburgh - a cafe made famous as the location the author wrote the books.
The magical moment was captured on film by onlookers who shared the clip on social media site TikTok, reports Edinburgh Live.
A huge crowd can be seen gathering to clap and offer their congratulations as the couple celebrated their exciting engagement. They posed and smiled in front of the cameras after the ring slipped onto the woman's finger.
The caption to the video reads: "On a misty afternoon in Edinburgh, Victoria Street glowed its winding charm and eclectic shops resembling scenes straight out of a Harry Potter novel.
"This guy had chose this spot for a very special reason; his girlfriend was a devoted fan of the series. As they strolled past the colourful shopfronts, he led her to the very place that inspired Diagon Alley.
"There under the old lamplight surrounded by the magical ambiance of the historic street, he knelt down and pulled out a small velvet box.
"With sparkles in her eyes, she needed, a joyful "yes" escaping her lips. The enchanted street seemed to hum with approval as they embraced, sealing their promise in a place where fiction and reality beautifully intertwined."
