A Scots couple have been left devastated after a callous thief trashed their home and left behind a trail of blood just weeks before it was due to go on the market.
Ashley Hunter, 30, and her partner Ryan Mcginley, 26, have been forced to postpone the sale while they clean up after the cruel thief who also made off wth gaming consoles.
The pair had been staying with family so they could prepare the house in Sighthill View, Edinburgh, for the market and were not home during the incident around 11pm on Thursday March 17.
As reported in Edinburgh Live, the couple were still storing items in the home, and as a result the man made off with a couple of gaming consoles as well as other tech items.
The man is believed to have damaged nearly every room in the home and left a trail of blood throughout.
It is understood that the man first attempted to gain entry through the front door but, after failing to do so, he then used a rock to smash the kitchen window.
Footage from the doorbell camera shows the man approaching the front door down the garden path at the property.
He appears to be wearing a blue jacket with the hood up and grey joggers.
Speaking about the ordeal, Ashley said: “It is just myself and my partner who own the house. We haven’t been staying there for a while but some of our stuff was still there as we were about to put it on the market.
“We are upset and angry that something we have worked so hard for has been trashed. We are still in shock and can’t imagine why anyone would do this.
“They stole a couple of gaming consoles and some other tech and damaged nearly all the rooms in the house. We just want answers and for this guy to be caught.”
She added: “He tried to enter at 10:57pm and was not successful with the front
