A popular Scottish fish and chip shop has slammed chef Tom Kerridge for "insulting" chippies across the UK in comments he made recently.
David Mcleod, owner of the award-winning Mcleod's Fish and Chips in Inverness, hit back at the Michelin star celebrity chef after he sparked controversy when his Harrods restaurant in London increased the price of its fish and chips to £37.

Now, as reported by the Inverness Courier, Mcleod has criticised the celebrity cook's comments. Posting on social media, he wrote: "I can’t speak for every chippie up and down the country, but I do feel that these comments are a wee bit of an insult to the industry and the majority of us chippies who work very hard and pride ourselves on our fish and chips, by sourcing and using the best ingredients we can find."
He added: "I don’t know many chippies in Scotland that
