Scotland's Home of the Year is returning for another series, and Scots are being encouraged to apply.
Taking to social media, the creators of the show revealed that they are looking for "unique, quirky, and distinctive homes from across the country". Owners of properties of all varieties are encouraged to apply, "no matter the size or budget".
The series, which is often abbreviated to SHOTY, is a reality competition that airs on BBC Scotland. It sees three judges journey around the country to analyse homes based on how well the owners have designed and utilised their available space.
One winner is selected from each region in Scotland, before an overall winner is selected from the homes that reach the finals. It has so far aired four series, with the fifth expected to air later this year.
The 2022 series of Scotland's Home of the Year saw quirky croft house New Tolsta on Stornoway take home the top prize. The home fended off competition from Fort William, Kippen, Kirkwall, Edinburgh, Elsrickle, Helensburgh and Fife.
Posting on Instagram, the official Scotland's Home of the Year account wrote: "This is not a drill #SHOTY fans - we are BACK! Applications are now open for the next series of Scotland’s Home of the Year.
"If you would like your home to be considered for the new series then all you have to do is email a brief description of your home with some photos to: [email protected].
"Feel free to pop us a DM if you need any help - good luck!"
If you wish to apply for the next season of Scotland's Home of the Year, email: [email protected]
