Scotland's yellow weather warning for rain has been extended across more of the country in a update by the Met Office today.
The yellow warning has been updated to include the Northeast Highlands and western parts of the Central Belt, but it will also end sooner than expected.
The warning began at 12am this morning and will conclude at 3am on Monday morning (October 30), instead of continuing until later on in the day.
After recent very wet weather, further heavy rain is expected to affect Central, Eastern Scotland and Northeast England.
Many parts of the warning area will see 20-40 mm of rain, whilst the wettest spots, most likely from Stirling and Fife northwards into Angus and Aberdeenshire, could see 50-80 mm, and isolated 100-120 mm on the mountains.
The rain will ease slowly from the north from Sunday afternoon and night. In addition, on Sunday , strong winds with gusts 50-60 mph are also probable along exposed coasts of northeastern and eastern Scotland.
Areas affected by yellow weather warning
The areas affected are now as follows:
Central, Tayside and Fife
Grampian, Highlands and Eilean Siar
SW Scotland, Lothian Borders
