A man has taken to social media to share a "game changer" device that has solved all his damp and mould problems.
With colder weather creeping in, UK households often experience condensation and may opt for remedies such as dehumidifiers and mould remover.
However, a dad who posts under the username @Willmill19 on TikTok said that mould in his home has "never returned" after installing a Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) unit in his loft.
As reported by the Echo, the man detailed his past experience with dehumidifiers and admitted that a more hefty investment was needed to deal with his condensation problems.
He said: "I used to have a dehumidifier and tried all of those little tricks with mould remover. But last winter I installed a PIV unit up in the loft.
"It takes filtered air from the loft and just has a constant blast of filtered air that comes out. That slight bit of filtered air will make the house ever so slightly positive pressure and constantly ventilates our house."
PIV units aren't cheap, costing between £297.99 and £399.99 when searched online, but users argue that the product is "well worth the price".
The clip has received 1 million views and more than 35,000 likes from viewers who took to the comments to share their own experiences with a PIV.
One said: "My partner installed one in my Victorian house three years ago, it's definitely the best £400 I've ever spent."
"My partner fitted a PIV in our old stone cottage because our bedroom walls would be dripping in the mornings," added another who went on to brand the device as a "GAME CHANGER."
Some were impressed with a drying hack, as users spotted that the man had hung his clothes rack over his staircase to save room in the hallway.

In The Son, Hugh Jackman plays Peter, a man struggling with parenting his teenage boy, while attempting to break the chains of generational trauma he inherited from his own father, played by Anthony Hopkins. Writer-director Florian Zeller brings this, his second in a series of his plays, to the screen, having debuted The Father, also starring Hopkins, last Oscar season. In taking on this role, Jackman became the crux of a story so eviscerating and personal, he says it affected the way he parents his own children, while at the same time, he felt the presence of his father, who passed away during the shoot.
