Asda shoppers have been heaping praise on an affordable product that is helping to eliminate mould and condensation in their homes during the cold weather.
With temperatures plummeting to freezing this week, many might notice that their homes are more susceptible to damp patches and mould in certain areas.
And with the current cost of living crisis, many of us have been avoiding popping on the heating and drying our clothes indoors, which can add to the issues by causing a build-up of moisture.
One such way to help has been to invest in an electric dehumidifier, though they can be quite pricey. Luckily, shoppers have found an affordable alternative that costs just £1 from the likes of Asda, Amazon and other retailers.
The Manchester Evening News reports that Asda is selling its cheapest 'damp trap' disposable dehumidifier boxes for £4 for four and shoppers are raving over them.
The pots, which can be placed on windowsills to pull moisture from the air, can last up to three weeks depending on the damp conditions of the home.
One customer said: "I swear by these fab little dehumidifiers on every window in my home. I use them all year round."
Another added: "Value for money reduces condensation compact fits behind a curtain by a window easily, used them last year through the winter worked great."
A third wrote: "These seem to work really well. I keep one on the windowsill in my conservatory and it seems to reduce condensation."
The supermarket chain also sells the humidifiers individually for £1.25 and they have been praised by other shoppers for "doing what is required."
Shoppers looking to pick up any of these affordable 'damp traps' can pick up similar ones from the likes of Wilko, Amazon, John Lewis and Poundland.
