S Club 7's Paul Cattermole had heartbreakingly shared excitement for the band's reunion weeks before his tragic death aged 46. The singer, who was due to be reuniting with S Club 7 for a 25th anniversary tour, was found dead on Thursday afternoon at this home in Dorset.
Earlier this year, in February, Paul, as well as bandmates Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee and Tina Barrett, appeared on BBC's The One Show to talk about the reunion plans. The band shared their excitement, with Paul asked how rehearsals were going to which he said: "We haven’t quite yet [started rehearsals], no, we're still determining what we're going to put in the set list for the show. "We would like our fans to let us know via social media, just hit us up on the official S Club socials.
What sort of songs they want to hear, we already know they’ll want the classics. They might have an idea or two, which we go: 'Hmm, that’s interesting!'" Later, the band were asked as a group which song they were most looking forward to performing with Paul, and the rest of the group, quickly declaring Reach would be their chosen hit. It comes as Paul's family and S Club 7 confirmed Paul's death in a heartbreaking statement to OK! on Friday 7 April, it said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.
"Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon. "While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.
