S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt is inconsolable and "absolutely devastated" following the death of bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul Cattermole, it has been reported. Paul’s sudden death at the age of 46 has come as a “massive shock” to Hannah and the mum-of-two is ”struggling to believe he is no longer with us”.
Hannah, 42, had just rekindled her friendship with Paul, ending a seven-year feud and putting their past behind them.The pair were in a relationship for five years between 2001 and 2006, as well as briefly dating in 2015 before their relationship turned sour – but in the build-up to the band's reunion, the pair wiped the slate clean. Paul’s tragic death was announced by his family and the band on Friday, April 7, with fans and famous friends taking to social media to share tributes and memories of the late star.
A statement from S Club 7 reads: "We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul.There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
"He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time." Speaking to the MailOnline, a source close to Hannah claims: "She is absolutely devastated.
