Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s closeness to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice has left the Royal Family “worried” that the friendship could cause a “new royal feud” according to reports. Despite moving to the US back in 2020, Prince Harry, 39, is said to have remained close to his two cousins, with one royal expert previously telling OK! that he won’t “burn that final bridge with Eugenie and Beatrice”.
And now, reports allege that this closeness has caused concern within the family over what information could be being passed to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with an insider calling the relationship an “unfortunate” situation for the Royals to be in. “For the King, Camilla, and the Waleses, it's rather unfortunate that Eugenie and Beatrice are so close with the Sussexes,” an insider told Heat magazine.
The source added that Beatrice and Eugenie were “still privy” to much of what is happening at Buckingham Palace - something which is supposedly a cause of concern to the Royals.
“There's a concern about what they're telling them, and what they could reveal - even unintentionally,” they said. OK! has contacted a representative of Buckingham Palace for comment.
The reports come after Harry and Meghan, 42, stepped out in New York on Tuesday, 10 October where they marked World Mental Health Day at the Project Healthy Minds' World Mental Health Day Festival 2023 at Hudson Yard. As part of the event, the duo discussed mental health in the digital age, with a specific focus on raising awareness of making online usage safer for parents and children, as part of The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in the Digital Age segment of the festival.
