Jazz funk icon Roy Ayers and dub legend Mad Professor will head up the Blues Kitchen’s spring line-up.

May 5 will see a rare show from Detroit hip hop group Slum Village, as part of a brief three-date tour that will also see them at the Jazz Cafe in London.
Prior to that, there will be a night of angular krautrock from the iconic German band Amon Düül II on March 16.
Local talent will also be at the forefront of the venue’s spring programme too, with Untold Orchestra and Lovescene also on the bill.
Meanwhile, Manchester soul and jazz talent Mali Hayes will join with Lovescene singer Pops and Bee Rosebud on February 10 for a tribute to Erykah Badu’s seminal album Baduizm, which is 25 this year.
Other dates yet to be confirmed will come from Norman Jay, UK rap veteran Skinnyman, Jenna G, Dimitri from Paris, Brit soul legend Evelyn Champagne King, Danielle Moore and former Legend and Hacienda DJ Greg Wilson.
Tonight will see New Orleans-born rapper and producer Jay Electronica on stage.
