Council crews are dealing with the aftermath of Storm Isha after Ayr homes had their roofs blown off by ferocious winds.
Teams are currently attending addresses in Wallacetown to secure properties after gusts of up to 100mph battered Ayr on Sunday night, amid an Amber weather warning.
Flats in Philip Square felt the full brunt force of the storm with roofs left hanging off on Monday morning.
Large chunks of the roof were spotted lying on the road in the small estate, with further pictures showing sheets of the roofs had been ripped apart by the brutal winds.
Elsewhere in the town, trees collapsed onto roads with commuters advised to avoid travel in the 'danger to life' conditions.
In total Ayrshire Roads Alliance confirmed that 28 trees had fallen during the ninth named storm of the season. It is understood that four of those are in South Ayrshire, with East Ayrshire Council confirming that approximately 24 trees fell onto roads in East Ayrshire.
In leafy Alloway, a large tree crashed into a residents garden on Greenfield Avenue.
Meanwhile, a tree had fallen on Gemmell Crescent near to the busy Tesco supermarket outside the town.
Fears were also raised that the half-demolished Station Hotel could be at risk during the height of the storm.
But remarkably council chiefs have confirmed there are no issues with the site, with any use of cranes suspended until the weather conditions improve.
There were no schools closed across South Ayrshire, but earlier Ayrshire College were forced to close their Ayr campus after damage was caused to a 'small section' of roof at the Riverside Campus.
