Former Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand believes Manchester City would "blitz everything" if they were to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The England captain — who was the subject of huge interest from City in last summer's transfer window — was the star of the show when the two sides met at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, scoring twice to help Spurs to a shock 3-2 win.
Kane scored twice in the second-half, including a dramatic stoppage time winner, to end his run of two Premier League games without a goal and send a timely reminder to City about what could have been.
However, with City still being encouraged to add a big-name striker to their ranks in the coming summer, Ferdinand believes if Kane was to join the reigning Premier League title holders. they would enjoy a huge amount of success.
Ferdinand told Vibe with Five: "If Harry Kane goes to Man City, they would blitz everything, because the balls that are dropping in and around that penalty area mean he would be eating up chances week-in, week-out.
"I reckon he will be sitting there licking his lips and thinking, 'Wow, imagine if I was there.'"
As well as scoring twice on Saturday, Kane produced an excellent well-rounded performance, providing the pass that allowed Son Heung-min to set up January signing Dejan Kulusevski for his first Tottenham goal.
Ferdinand added: "It was like an audition, wasn't it? Everyone was saying, 'it's not the Harry Kane that we knew and loved from before. He can't go to City now. They can't spend that type of money on him now'.
"Kane, basically, turned around and said, 'look, guys, sit back and take a look at what I am about and what's still in the tank. I have still got it and if I played at this place every
