Ridley Scott reportedly in talks to direct Bee Gees biopic

EXCLUSIVE: After landing the coveted package last year, Apple Original Films is putting together quite the cast for Jonah Hill‘s dark comedy Outcome. Cameron Diaz is now in final negotiations to co-star opposite Keanu Reeves (who is also in final negotiations to star) in the pic, which Hill will direct.

You may have seen the 1999 hit thriller The Talented Mr. Ripley… well, there’s now an 8 episode series titled Ripley following the same story line, starring Andrew Scott in the title role of Tom Ripley!

UPDATE 5:45 P.M. PST: Taylor’s team has released a statement on the alleged incident. According to their version of events, “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.” Oof. Sounds scary.

All four members of The Beatles will get their own standalone biopic as part of an ambitious series of movies from director Sam Mendes. News of the first fully licensed Beatles films depicting the lives of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, and George Harrison was announced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Neal Street Productions.

Cavina, who has over twenty years of experience in programming and artistic director roles at festivals including Locarno, El-Gouna, Rome, Venice and Abu Dhabi, is structuring the Mediterrane fest’s selection in four programming strands: In Competition, featuring films from across the Mediterranean; Out of Competition, featuring films from the rest of the world; Mare Nostrum – ‘Our Sea’, showcasing narrative and documentary films dedicated to sustainability and the environment; and Future Visions – a selection of experimental VR projects.

EXCLUSIVE: Giannina Scott has optioned the rights to journalist Mat Youkee‘s book proposal Children of the Jungle: The True Story Behind the Survival of Four Children in the Amazon.Giannina brought the project to Scott Free, who is producing, under her Cara Films banner, alongside Ridley Scott and Scott Free President Michael Pruss.
