Rebekah Vardy will discuss the Wagatha Christie trial in an explosive new interview with TalkTV tomorrow night, Wednesday 3 August. In the teaser for the programme, the mum-of-five, 40, insists that she didn't leak the information about Coleen Rooney, 36, and said that she feels "let down by the legal system" in the wake of her losing her libel trial. "I'll say this until I'm blue in the face, I did not do it," she tells TalkTV's Kate McCann.
"I feel let down by a lot of people and a lot of things but, most importantly, I feel let down by the legal system," Rebekah goes on. Her interview comes after Rebekah expressed her disappointment last week following the verdict. "I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the judge has reached," her statement began.
“It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the judge’s finding." She continued: "The judge accepted that publication of Coleen’s post was not in the ‘public interest’ and she also rejected her claim that I was the ‘Secret Wag’. “But as for the rest of her judgement, she got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept.” Meanwhile, Coleen shared how "pleased" she was that the ruling went in her favour.
However, she “never believed” the case should have gone to court “at such expense in times of hardship for so many people when the money could have been far better spent helping others". She continued: “Both before and after my social media posts in October 2019, I made every effort to avoid the need for such a drawn out and public court case. All my attempts to do so were knocked back by Mrs (Rebekah) Vardy.
