Giovanni van Bronckhorst is confident Manchester United loanee Amad is slowly adapting to the 'much higher' intensity of football in Scotland.
Amad, 19, scored just five minutes into his debut for the Scottish side last month but has struggled for regular playing time since his bright start.
The Ivorian winger did not feature in either leg of the famous Europa League triumph over Borussia Dortmund this month and has only started once since being taken off at half-time in the Old Firm defeat to fierce rivals Celtic.
Amad will be hoping to get a rare run out when Rangers host Motherwell on Sunday afternoon and ahead of the match Van Bronckhorst eased the pressure on the United loanee.
“He had a good start. You also know the change in environment for him is an aspect that he feels," the Ranagers manager said at his press conference.
“Also the level of playing now. He played a couple of games with United but only in the reserves so the intensity that he will be feeling in Scotland is much higher.
“But you can see his quality and in the game last weekend against Dundee United when he came on, he had some good chances to score a goal.
“But he has to develop as you expect for a young player who hasn’t played much across the last months.”
