Manchester United's interim manager Ralf Rangnick has been praised for his substitutions during his side's 1-0 win over West Ham.
Last Saturday Rangnick was criticised for making changes too late on as the Red Devils tried to hold on against Aston Villa.
That criticism turned to praise on Wednesday night as fans lauded his changes which helped United run out 3-1 winners against Brentford.
Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial all came on at Old Trafford as Rangnick looked to find a winner.
Heading into stoppage time Martial laid the ball to Cavani who crossed for Rashford to score the only goal of the game.
Speaking on Gillette Soccer Saturday, Paul Merson praised the boss' decision making.
"In the end all three substitutions for Manchester United played well," he said.
"Fair play to the manager, he put all three on and they were all involved."
Controversy did surround United's winner as West Ham claimed that Cavani was offside in the build up however, following a brief VAR check the goal was given.
David Moyes, returning to Old Trafford as Hammers boss, was visibly angered by the decision.
Manchester United move up into fourth place and above West Ham thanks to Rashford's goal.
