Pulp bass player Steve Mackey has died

Brian Walsh, the popular Australian TV and film executive credited with a key role in Neighbours‘ global success, has died unexpectedly aged 68.

Vivienne Kelly Brian Walsh died in Sydney yesterday Thursday. Pay-TV group Foxtel, where he had been a co-founder, said Walsh’ death was sudden and that he had been one of the most admired creative leaders in Australian television. Walsh began his career at the ABC, and subsequently worked at Palm Beach Pictures, radio station 2SM and Network 10. Then in 1995, he was a key member of the management team which established Australian subscription television with the launch of Foxtel. He’s been remembered for his multi-faceted media career, including as a gifted media, entertainment and sports publicist, and his important role in many iconic Australian television moments.

Paramount+’s Basic Plan, described as “competitively priced,” will be available from April 18. Andrea Reeb, the special prosecutor in the fatal "Rust" on set shooting case, has made the decision to step down.  "After much reflection, I have made the difficult decision to step down as special prosecutor in the 'Rust' case," Andrea Reeb said in a statement shared by the office of New Mexico's First Judicial District Attorney on Tuesday. Emiliano De Pablos Denver-based distributor Fathom Events and Spain’s Bosco Films are teaming to release this September in 700 U.S. theaters the Spanish documentary “Libres” (“Free”). Portraying the cloistered life of 12 monasteries in Spain, “Free” will be the fourth feature both partners jointly release stateside. Their distribution relationship kicked-off last year, with the U.S. release of faith-based doc “Vivo” (“Alive”), which scored $352,000 on its April 24 launch, entering into the domestic box office Top Ten.  Further recent Fathom-Bosco releases include Spanish biopic “Esclavos y reyes” (“Claret”) and French pilgrimage documentary “Lourdes.”

Richard Gere and his family are taking some time to enjoy the outdoors after the actor's recent hospitalization. On Sunday, Gere's wife, Alejandra Silva Gere, took to Instagram to share a family photo that included the couple, along with one of their sons, spending time on a farm. "In these times, especially if you live in the city, it is so difficult to be able to enjoy the basic pleasures that nature offers us — for me, the ones I value the most and those I want to instill in my family," Alejandra first captioned the post in Spanish.

Pulp bassist Steve Mackey has died aged 56, his family have confirmed in a statement.In a post on social media, Mackey’s wife Katie wrote: “After three months in hospital, fighting with all his strength and determination, we are shocked and devastated to have said goodbye my brilliant, beautiful husband, Steve Mackey”.“Steve died today, a loss which has left myself, his son Marley, parents Kath and Paul, sister Michelle and many friends all heartbroken”, she went on. “Steve was the most talented man I knew, an exceptional musician, producer, photographer and filmmaker”.“As in life, he was adored by everyone whose paths he crossed in the multiple creative disciplines he conquered”, she added. “I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the NHS staff who worked tirelessly for Steve.

Pulp bassist Steve Mackey has died aged 56.The star joined the well-loved band in 1989, with them going on to release hit tracks such as Common People, Babies and Disco 2000.The group are reuniting later this year, but it was announced in October that Steve wasn't taking part. Thania Garcia Steve Mackey, the bassist for the Britpop band Pulp and a music producer, died on Thursday morning of an undisclosed illness. He was 56. Pulp shared the news on their official Instagram account writing, “Our beloved friend and bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning.
