(‘Blix Not Bombs’ and ‘Baghdad on Fire’) provide two different takes – a shot and reverse shot – on the course of events back in 2003 and on the current situation in Iraq as seen from the inside and through the eyes of the young.”“Blix Not Bombs” follows Hans Blix, the former head of the U.N. Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission, who was sent to Iraq in 2002 to determine whether U.S. suspicions that the country was manufacturing weapons of mass destruction were founded. Though the final report found no evidence of an Iraqi weapons program under Hussein, the U.S. and a coalition of allies nevertheless decided to invade the country. Now in the final stretch of his life, Blix questions whether he did enough to prevent a war whose impact is felt to this day.

Pulp bassist Steve Mackey has died aged 56.The star joined the well-loved band in 1989, with them going on to release hit tracks such as Common People, Babies and Disco 2000.The group are reuniting later this year, but it was announced in October that Steve wasn't taking part. As well as working with Pulp, Steve worked alongside a series of other huge names including M.I.A, Florence and The Machine and Arcade Fire.The band’s official Twitter page confirmed the news of his death. Steve died on Thursday, 2 March.They wrote: “Our beloved friend & bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning.

Thania Garcia Steve Mackey, the bassist for the Britpop band Pulp and a music producer, died on Thursday morning of an undisclosed illness. He was 56. Pulp shared the news on their official Instagram account writing, “Our beloved friend and bass player Steve Mackey passed away this morning. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.” The post included a photo of Mackey walking through the Andes, and in the caption, the band wrote that they’d “very much like to think that he’s back in those mountains now, on the next stage of his adventure.”A post shared by Pulp (@welovepulp) Mackey’s wife Katie also issued a statement that said her husband’s death occurred after he had spent three months in hospital.
