The unexpected outing marked one of the first times that the entire “Fab Four” made an appearance together since Meghan and Harry left their roles as senior royals in 2020. And in a shocking turn of events, a source told Us Weekly that it was actually Prince William who extended the invite to the couple to join him and Catherine for the walkabout.

That was a huge step for the royals amid their bitter feud! And while everyone was hopeful at the time that this olive branch had meant the foursome called a truce, that was not the case. In fact, royal correspondent Robert Jobson said the public appearance was nothing more than an “illusion” of Meghan, Harry, Catherine, and William putting on a united front during that time of mourning.
