Prince William's official role at the King's Coronation has been revealed by the Liturgy of the Coronation Service - but his brother Prince Harry will not play a part.
After the Archbishop of Canterbury pledges his allegiance to King Charles III, Prince William will follow in his footsteps, kneeling before his father - who will already have been crowned - and placing his hands between the King's.
He will continue by reciting the Homage of Royal Blood: "I, William, Prince of Wales, pledge my loyalty to you and faith and truth I will bear unto you, as your liege man of life and limb. So help me God.”
Prince William is the only member of the Royal Family who will honour King Charles verbally during the ceremony.
An official role for Harry was not included in the Liturgy, confirming that he will play no official part in the historic event.
Buckingham Palace recently confirmed that the Duke of Sussex would attend the coronation, however, Meghan Markle and both of their children would be absent.
Instead, the former actress will remain in the States to celebrate her son Archie's 4th birthday.
A source confirmed to Page Six that: "There was no way that Meghan was going to miss her son’s birthday."
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet only recently had their titles updated on the line of succession, prompting one highly placed source to say that “it is a shame” that Archie and Lilibet — nicknamed Lili — will not be in attendance on “such a historic occasion.”
