Prince Harry was reportedly had two main concerns about attending the high-profile wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, alongside his brother Prince William according to a royal expert and former staff member of the King.
The Duke of Sussex was nowhere to be seen as his elder brother made a solo appearance at the Duke of Westminster's nuptials to Olivia Henson on Friday without his father, King Charles or his wife, Kate Middleton.
Grant Harrold, who previously served as a butler to King Charles, shared his thoughts about why Harry didn't attend with OK! magazine.
He said: "I'm sure [Harry] would have wanted to attend. But Harry and William shared friends and they have likely been drawn into this dispute. Plus, he may have worried that the rift with William would pull focus from the wedding."
He also noted: "It will be hard for William to attend the wedding without Kate as I'm sure they planned to go together. They're such a partnership and he's his best self when she's by his side."
In other news, it is said that King Charles is "devastated" about missing the duke's wedding, despite the presence of his eldest son and a host of close friends and family members. The event has been hailed as the 'society event of the year'.
Hugh, who is a godfather to both Prince George and Archie Sussex, tied the knot with Olivia Henson in a ceremony that had all the hallmarks of a royal celebration.
Despite the Duke's intimate connections with the Royal family, King Charles was not expected to attend the wedding due to persistent health issues.
